I found an action camera, it looks similar to this F60 which I have seen on YT. https://youtu.be/znV0GbwQk-w My camera can record video and take photos, and I can connect to it via wifi with my Android phone. But, when I try to access other features - the screen displays noise for a few seconds, then goes back to live image. I would like to reinstall the firware to see if this would have a positive effect. I have no documentation for the camera, nor do I have peripherals. I have tried several different remove software on my phone but they cannot communicate with the camera even through it does stay connected to my phone. I am using Android 9 on my phone.
Hi @plipoz, Just confirming that there is no information at all on or in the camera itself e.g. product name or info label? Can you access the camera’s menu options at all? If so have you checked through the menu settings to see if there is any menu option that may have relevant info e.g. most phones have an “About” menu option which gives make and model details? What info is shown in your phone’s WiFi network list e.g. name of network used to connect to camera, since you say it stays connected to the phone? Does the camera have a USB port at all? If so can you connect it to a computer and check if it is being detected at all? If it is then if you have a Windows PC you may be able to identify the camera in Device Manager in the PC (I don’t know Mac OS) Without a make and model number (or at least make of camera) finding the correct firmware is like finding a needle in a haystack. Loading the wrong firmware could potentially brick the device.
