While replacing my front screen I disconnected the home button ribbon located under the speaker configuration. Now I can’t get it to get back on to stay and work properly. How can I fix this?
it’s a slide in connection with a lockbar..you need to flip up the tab/lockbar on the side that the flex will go in, then slide flex in on top of pins, when you feel resistance push the lock bar back down.

iPhone 4 Dock Connector Replacement is it possible you have removed the dock connector? this link is about 3/4 the way through the guide, I think this could be it.
