I spilt sweet tea onto my phone without realizing and it sat in the tea for maybe 10 minutes. It spilt near the buttons and speaker and no every time I try to turn it on, it doesn’t. The power button and button don’t work but my volume does. Help me please, I don’t know how to fix it. It only turns on when I charge it or get a notification and I’ve let it sit in rice for an hour.

Get it out of the rice . That does nothing . Next stop trying to turn it on. What you need to do is take the phone apart and clean it . the tea will cause the phone to corrode and that will cause shorts . As well clean the logic board; use a 99% isopropyl alcohol for all cleaning. Now is the time to start drying out the phone. Use a blow dryer on a low heat setting to dry the rest of the phone. Only use a hair dryer once you have cleaned the phone completely with the alcohol. Basically there is a water in your phone. If you are not a tech i would suggest to visit a store to avoid further damage to your phone, as samsung S6 needs to be open from back side. There will be corrosion near your connector which makes problem to the boards. You need to clean the mother board and connector with isoprophyly alcohol. Hope this help!
