Chosen Solution
I just set up my galaxy s7 with all my preferred customizations except for the lock screen. I chose the pattern lock but I don’t like having to slide up to actually see the lock pattern when I click my phone back on. I want it to show automatically when I attempt to turn my phone on like it did with my galaxy s5. I’ve tried searching through the display/ lock screen settings options but I don’t know if it’s possible.
Nothing you can really do you can try to turn off smart lock but I dont think that will work as far as i can recall this is a thing done by samsung to allow more notifications on the screen. Pointless if you ask me it just makes things more frustrating when you want to unlock your phone
