I was sitting and playing my PS4 Slim I hooked it up turned it on got to the main menu started playing WWE 2K 17 for about 5 minutes all the sudden it made this really loud pop noise system automatically shut off and I won’t come back on does that have to do with the power supplies
Yes, it’s a bad power supply. It most likely has bugs in it. If it does Sony won’t fix it and the warranty is void. Hopefully, it doesn’t but 95% of the time what you describe is caused by roaches in the power supply touching the wrong points.
Hi! As you assumed, the power supply failed and that popping sound indicates that something blew inside of it. If the console is still under warranty, Sony will fix it for you, otherwise you’ll have to do it yourself.
