Ok this is a unique case given the limitations: The screen is dead with no way of repairingThe battery is also deadIt supports OTG, however since there is no battery, I can’t simply attach a mouse to interact with it. It has these specifications: Supports OTGHas HDMI supportHas SD card slot From this, I have two options which I have narrowed down: By connecting it to a Macbook Air, where I can interact it (given there is a method that does not require USB debugging and no root.)Connect it via OTG, but via a USB hub where I can charge while having a mouse input at the same time. Is there such a thing?
Hi @rwalmond , An OTG adapter connected to the tablet tells the tablet to supply power to the tablet’s USB port so that a mouse etc can work as it will be supplied with power from the tablet. i.e. tablet internally switches USB power connections around from power into the tablet (normal mode) to power out from the tablet (OTG mode) You will have to connect the mouse to a powered USB hub that also feeds power to the tablet to charge the battery and run the tablet and DO NOT use an OTG adapter as the power supply will not go into the tablet to run the tablet. See the image below of how an OTG cable is wired and notice that there is an Earth placed on the “sense” wire in the tablet’s USB port which “tells” the tablet to switch the tablet’s USB port power connections around from power in to power out.
