My ZBook 15 does not have a fingerprint reader installed, online I found some replacement parts to install the fingerprint reader. My question is how can I install it, and what do I have to remove in the process?
Hi, Here is a link to the service manual for your workstation. http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/publi… Scroll down to p.75 to see the pre-requisites and procedures necessary to ‘remove’ the fingerprint reader board. Reverse the procedure to install the board. Here is the part number for the fingerprint reader board including adhesive tape and bracket in case you haven’t got all the parts, 734286-001. If you search online using just the part number, nothing else, (do not add HP or fingerprint reader to the search term - it will just skew the results), you will get suppliers of the part.
