On Thursday 21st May 2015 my iPhone 5’s battery life was decreasing so I plugged it into a computer in college but the screen went blank maybe because it was rebooting itself or something but I didn’t think I just threw it at the cupboard in the classroom and it pooped up the LCD screen of the device it’s been damaged for three years and I want to get it fixed for £35 from a local shop but I’m worried that they might make it worse and I don’t know if the impact damaged the proximity sensor
unfortunately, when it comes to repair services, there is a slew of quality of technicians out there. some people are trained technicians who spent their time in college for electronics, and have been trained by experienced technicians for months before starting on their own. others are simply looking up youtube videos on the repair and barely able to do anything besides an iphone screen swap. i would find the most reputable shop in your area to do the repair. it will be more expensive than the others, but will likely have better experience with the diagnostics, and repairs.
So, you’re saying the battery swelled and popped the scree off? If you think you can DIY it, the iPhone 5 battery is pretty cheap and can be found here, and the guide here Good luck, and I doubt the proximity sensor is damaged.
