As of two weeks ago my MacBook Pro stopped recognising my trackpad and keyboard. The issues started only after I did a software update. I managed to login using a bluetooth keyboard in order to reset the computer and revert to the version I was originally running. It took a day to do this, and it seemed to work fine after that. However, the issue has resurfaced. Depending on the angle I hold my MacBook the keyboard will work or not work. Is this a problem anyone else has encountered? Does it sound like a hardware problem? What should I do stop my keyboard and trackpad from disconnecting? MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3 Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB
The keyboard & trackpad share the same cable connect to the logic board. There are two possiblities: The battery is pressing on the cable as it’s failing and the cable it’s self got damaged from a bang on the bottom cover. I would check the battery using CoconutBattery to see how many cycles it has (if you’re over 700 it’s time for a new battery).
