DVD player keeps saying open when it is closed. It seems the lid is slightly bent up, so it doesn’t recognise that it is closed. How to fix ?

The best solution is to get a new portable DVD player. The other solution I thought of was to use velcro straps on the DVD tray(place the sticky parts on the pop-up part and the side or bottom of the player, then use velcro straps to secure it down after the DVD is in).

i tried that but it still says open.
