My laptop was open and I had been using it. I went to push the screen back a little and placed my hand around the side of the screen (so my thumb was on the screen and the rest of my hand was on the back (in picture). Suddenly a bunch of lines popped up tracing to where my thumb was and have not gone away in weeks. The glass itself is not broken so I think the issue is underneath. Is this fixable? How expensive would it be to fix?
Sorry to tell you the back glass (LCD panel) is cracked!
I often see this happen when something like a pen or pencil was resting on the keyboard and the lid was closed on it.
