Originally this laptop would not turn on because something was wrong with the RAM. After fiddling with it a while i figured out the bottom RAM slot was broken and I tried some crude fixes which didn’t work. Throughout that testing and turning on and off the machine it seemed to work fine, but shortly after closing up the computer after trying to see if I could wedge a card between the RAM slots the screen started blinking. Not sure if I did something. Is there anyway to fix this? (Please ignore the AC in the background of the video)

You’ll need to see if an external display (via the Mini DisplayPort) also shows the same effect. This still could be a bad RAM slot as the main RAM is used for video buffering or it could be a bad display. If the problem is seen on the external then the RAM slot and/or RAM SO-DIMM is bad.
