Trying to replace a bad hard drive, I broke the lcd connector off the logic board. I want to buy another logic board. Apple dealer told me they can’t get parts because now it’s “Vintage”. Is there somewhere I can purchase another logic board? Regards Mike
There are four logic boards in this series: 3.2 GHz i3 - 661-55303.6 GHz i5 - 661-55312.8 GHz Quad Core i5 - 661-55472.93 GHz Quad Core i7 - 661-5577 If you do a Google search Apple 661-5547 as an example, you should find a few offered up by sellers. Just keep in mind the limits of the system after you repair it. You don’t want to throw to much into this system.
