I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport. I forgot the door code or you might say the code I use to open the door. Do any one know how this works?
In the rear quarterpanel of the truck, there is an access door. Its where the jack and stuff is hidden away. Pop that off, remove the jack and look towards the front of the truck. The keyless entry module is located in there. The module will have the code printed on it.
@pagibson ,Patricia, Check for the card in the owner’s manual packet that had the keypad code on it. If not the factory code is also printed on a label stuck on the remote anti-theft personality (RAP) module, which is located behind the interior removable panel in the left rear quarter. If no luck the dealer will have to retrieve/program code for you. Link below will go into more detail to aid you in getting code. Good luck.
