How do I connect the touchpad ribbon cable to the touchpad board?
Hi Oldturkey, Thank You for you help but I do have the service manual and it does not show which way the ribbons face the board so by trial and error I managed to get them facing the correct way. I do appreciate you help tho.
Joyce, not sure if you are using the service manual for the repair. you can download it from here It does show you how to do the replacement. Just to double check your work.
i have a dv6000 and as many times i clean the fan and all the dust inside. once assmbling it, accidentally caught the touch pad ribbon with one of the screw that goes besides the wifi adaptor. now i cant enter any os that uses mouse, it looks like the touch pad control is burned, keyboard works fine and everythig else works fine, msdos fine, just no windows or linux, they stop boot in the exact moment it have to check for mouse. what can i do? any body knows? please help.
