I spilled coffee on my wireless mouse & keyboard USB receiver. I need a little help figuring out how to clean it. (any help would be appreciated) -Thanks in advance
If coffee little coffee went in then just put them in a bag with rice or even better silicon bags for 24 hours. But if coffe is visible floating in there then u need to open them up dry with tissue then put them with silicone bags or if u don’t want to open them put them in a little warmer place at 40 Celsius with silicone bags for at least 3 days. Please give us the make and model number of your mouse. There are several guides on disassembly. Step Turn the mouse off and remove the batteries. This is extremely important because liquid and electricity is a dangerous mix. Step Wipe it dry with a rag or towel. Do this as quickly as possible. You may be able to save much of the moisture from creeping inside of the device if you move quickly Step Take the mouse apart with a Phillips screwdriver. The object is to expose the inside of the device to air. Step Turn on a fan and lay the mouse next to it. Air drying devices is a good solution. Let the fan run for several hours. Step Check to see if there has been any blue or green powder substance forming around any of the circuitry. If so, that means the device has started to corrode. Step Re-assemble the mouse and turn it back on and pair with the computer to test it.
