Chosen Solution

I have an A1652 iPad. Changed the battery out but the Smart Connector for the keyboard got sliced by the iFixit card tool. I can’t seem to find a way to remove the current Smart Connector retaining clip/cleat.

From what I can tell it’s not an easy process. Check step 22 of the tear down for this model. It’s glued into the enclosure very soundly. It’s probably doable, and I have found the part available for purchase, but I suspect it’s going to require a lot of doing to get the old one out. iPad Pro 12.9" Teardown
