Yes, you can upgrade the firmware. Than to 25 km, the difference between 20Km and 25km is very big. You can do that with your android phone. (Iphone does not support this upgrade) download app mijia, and scan QR Code. But this could be dangerous because your qicycle firmware could be brick.
You can upgrade to 25kmh using android (not apple). I think you have downloaded the wrong app from google play: qicycle international version” yellow icon is the right one.

Those with the International version can not do a firmware update as mentioned as no Bluetooth is shipped with it.
