Hey guys, Thanks for your help in advance. Basically, long story short, I lost my dear brother in a car accident around a year ago, the police have since returned his phone and apple watch to us. The phones screen is smashed (but still on the phone just lots and lots of cracks) and the bottom of the phone where you would connect the charger, is snapped upwards (so it is still attached but bent up). This means I can’t plug it into the computerand charge it to retrieve the media. I will attach photos to this when I’m home later. I was wondering, if there is any way for me and my mum to get the media from his phone - he was a powerlifter so those videos would be precious. Also in terms of his Apple ID and Password, I do know the ID, but I don’t know the Password. Can anyone please help!?

You will need a working screen and a working ligthning connector to get the PC authorized by the phone. On top of that you will need the passcode requested by the phone every time it is turned on if a protection passcode was configured. As far as iCloud is concerned nobody can help besides Apple..I have no idea if they will exceptionally release data to family members given the circumstances, but that’s the only road you can take. If you want to try replace the screen and the charging connector you can get help from the following guides: iPhone 7 Screen Replacement iPhone 7 Lightning Connector Assembly Replacement

Here is a little thinking outside the box here. Did your brother have it connected or backed up to a laptop / Mac?
