The lip on the bottom case lock onto which the hook from the top case latches is broken. It looks like it can’t be repaired, but I’m not sure. Perhaps the whole bottom lock case needs to be replaced, if a used part can be found. Thanks.
Yup! The whole bottom case will unfortunately have to be replaced if the damage is bad enough. Just search eBay for the parts. :)
