My phone was in the ocean for over an hour and it’s completely dead. I went to the Apple store and they said the price would be $350 to fix everything inside. I know it’s cheaper to fix it by yourself but I don’t know what to buy and how.

Apple would not fix your phone they would replace it. They haven’t got the Knowledge to do this kind of work. If you do not need the data on it $350 for a replacement is a pretty good price. If you would like to try this repair yourself you would need at least. ·         Multimeter for finding what lines are possibly shorted. ·         Hot air station for removing the shields and bad components. ·         Microscope or a good magnifying glass. ·         Tweezers ·         Flux ·         Soldering station ·         Solder ·         Isopropyl alcohol for cleaning the corrosion. ·         DCPS so you know what state the phone is in when prompted to boot. ·         “Squid” the power lead from dcps to battery connector on board. Parts for board. ·         Known good battery. ·         Known good dock connector. ·         Known good screen. ·         You will probably require IC’s as well but you want know until your diagnostics are completed.
