The iPhone doesn’t read anything i press on the screen. I took it to an expert to take a look at it, and apparently the iphone has a bent motherboard. every time i want to use it I literally need to slightly bend it for it to read my fingers. Can this be fixed by replacing the rear case? any other suggestions to fix this problem?

The motherboard bending is not a problem. You can flex those boards a ton and they will still work as promised. What happens is that the Touch IC gets fried in a lot of these cases. Straightening the board only helps it to look better. The Touch IC is still fried and needs to be replaced in order for touch to be recognized again. Once you get that fixed, you don’t have to replace the housing. Its aluminum, you just bend it back into shape. Most of the time you don’t even need any tools to do so. If you want, there are tools just for this purpose. Again, its a chip on your motherboard that is broken. The bend caused it but the bend is not the problem.

It should.. Wondering why .. The tech said it has a bent motherboard and didn’t fix it though…

The solder joints under the chips may have cracked, just using a new case may not work, you may need to use splints to press the chips or reflow the board.
