As long as the phone is still working I would leave it alone. If your phone is not working then you might be able to get a replacement under the extended AppleCare plan. If this really bothers you see if you can get a case that covers it up. Paint won’t stick to the metal very well and besides you would need to paint the entire edge so the one spot doesn’t stand out. In doing so you could effect the phones operation (plugging up the mic & speaker holes)
Hi. I have the same problem as yours. I dented mine using a bandage scissor. then tried fixing it but instead got a scratch on the side of the dent. I guess you just need to cover the phone up. minimal damage is enough. and try not to look at it. that lessens the pain we feel. buy something that covers up the sides and back, and ignore it. :)
