My 40" Samsung television suddenly decided to change the screen colors. At first everything had a pink hue. Over time, it has changed to a white hue. I can still see the picture but it is totally bleached out. I have tried different connector cables, unplugging anything not needed (like WiiU and Roku), trying every display setting, resetting the display settings, and unplugging it from the wall. Occasionally the picture will be back to normal but it only lasts for a few seconds. Any ideas of what it could be? I see that there are several guides for 40" Samsung TVs but I am not sure which one what might fix the problem.
@egately sounds like you have done everything reset wise. Now it’s time to take a look on the inside. This error could be T-Con board error as well as a Main board error (worst case it is a bad panel). Just out of curiosity, try some tactile stimuli. Give the TV a good whack (no, not a Bar fight one. Gentle but persuasive) and see if that helps it for at least a brief period of time. If so, is it possibly a cold solder on a component (commonly on the T-con board). We will need your model number for some deeper assistance. You also want to consider posting some good pictures of the boards with your Question. It will allow us to see what you see and hopefully give you some more productive help. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that.
