Chromebook cant hold a signal stronger than 25% unless right next to a router, and even then it will not go higher than 50% Only device afftected, always the same regardless of networks or routers. Been told its likely a hardware issue but I cant find a way to actually fix it. Ive seen how to take apart the chromebook but have nevet seen any replacement parts for components that deal with wifi.

Hi, Your problem might be a loose or disconnected WiFi antenna cable. Here is the link to the Ifixit guide on how to replace the battery in your Chromebook. It is handy because it shows how to open the laptop so as to gain access the WiFi antenna cable(s). Samsung Chromebook Series 3 Battery Replacement Here is an image taken from the guide. I have highlighted in a green box what I think looks like the WiFi antenna cable connections. Check to see that they are securely connected.

I would open a warranty claim. If that doesn’t work, I would call Samsung for spare parts, since the WiFi is custom size for this Laptop. Samsung Hotline
