On my LG G8x ThinQ Android phone, the phone has a nasty habit of putting my phone calls on hold while holding the phone up to my ear. Something about touching the screen with my ear or cheek mutes my voice until I look at the screen and touch a button to stop holding the call on my end. It’s difficult to determine exactly when this happens because I can still hear the other person just fine and the call is still connected fine, but my voice is muted for the other person. How can I disable my phone’s touch screen during phone calls or stop it from putting my voice on hold just because my face touched the screen?
After you answer the phone, press the power button on the phone. Should turn the screen off. Then touch shouldn’t have any effect. And your calls will still be connected.
Even if I press the power button, my screen comes on and off during the call no matter what I do. It’s annoying AF. My face opens apps, tries to video call the person, etc. ANNOYING AF.
