i accidentally caused a transistor or something to spark on the logic board of a macbook pro (A1708), it left a scorch mark on the component. i don’t have the part with me right now, but here’s an image of what looks to be the the same logic board model. the scorch mark was on the horizontal piece in the red circled area. The computer still seems to turn on though

That is a capacitor on the battery power rail. There are three other capacitors on that rail so at the moment everything should still function. But since you bridged this component and there is a scorch mark I wouldn’t wait too long to replace it. If this component fails in the future it will send all the power to ground. Your device will no longer charge or run on the battery. The capacitor you are after is 1UF 10% 25V X5R 603-1
