I just replaced a screen for an indivdual on his 6s, everything went well. Aside for the home button being stuck and unable to press in. I had this issue on a phone I bought of a friend and it turned out the little metal dot on the bracket had broken off and i used a new home button bracket and it fixed the problem. I figured this may of been my isssue but the home button bracket looked fine, took the home button of his phone a couple times to see if i could figure it out and no luck, i ended up putting the screen on still and just turning on assistive touch for him.. Charged him 20$ less for the repair unfortunately. I could click the home button a bit like if i pressed decently hard which I knew couldn’t be right.. It was basically stuck in place. I read someone say on another post its an issue with third party screens and the glass or something, and if i loosen the screws a little bit it may fix the problem. Is there any info some of you may have? Those who have experienced anything similar on an iphone 6s repair. Thank you !

Sounds like third party screens if the home button doesn’t go in properly and feels squished. Do you know the trick about bending the middle of the home button metal bracket in and out to adjust distance from the home button itself? This helps a lot when you have home buttons that are either too dipped in or too high.

DId you end up trying this with the bracket??? Also, please see my post here on my issue that is similar. Used 6s Home button doesn’t have click feedback
