Phone stopped working after sustaining some water damage. Did a tear-down to clean off corrosion on all the connections and replaced the battery. Now it powers on, but the home button doesn’t work and I’m stuck on the welcome screen. Tried replacing the home button but it still doesn’t work. Any ideas?
When you say you replaced the home button did you make sure it was a “Universal home button?” Another home button from another phone will not work. You should also rule out a faulty flex and try a replacement screen.
