replacing home button and metal support with ribbon that lie below button (under the bezel. there is a gold “ladder type " spring below ribbon circuit. is this suppose to be in contact with ribbon circuit when i put bezel back on iPod or is it only suppose to touch that gold piece connected to mb when you press the home button
It needs to touch that gold piece of tape on the bezel.
Is your screen still white or did you get it figured out and what is “mb”?

Tell me where I can get one of those z-springs, without buying a new board? Mine just flew off, when I barely touched it. Don’t mess around with those springs, they are are attached with the smallest amount of solder.
Can’t you solder it?
