Chosen Solution
So I followed the guide with ifixit’s spare LCD assembly as my glass was cracked. I’ve done a few of these before to great success, but this time, the phone now acts like the home button has been pressed in my pocket, causing incorrect password entries and even emergency calls as I’m walking along
You’ll need to carefully inspect the Home Button and it’s flex cable to insure there isn’t any damage or that it wasn’t incorrectly assembled/installed. Use this guide as a reference.
