Chosen Solution

We purchased the screen replacement for an iPhone 8. The instructions were great, and everything went off with issue, except that after starting up the phone the home button no longer works. Everything else seems to work perfectly. Has anyone experienced this with an iPhone 8? Did you come across a workable solution? Thanks!

If home button was working before replacement the most logical explanation is that it was damaged during removal. The most damaged areas are: -the home button flex cable that goes from glass button to the small connector. -the flex cable that goes from logic board to the screen where it shows a bend before going under the metal EMI shield. You’ll need to remove shield to check it. A bright light source and some good magnification would be recommended for inspection.
