Chosen Solution
My home button is not clicking to go home or wake my phone but I can use Touch ID to unlock it if o wake it with the sleep/wake button.
Depending on the background to the phone the home key it self may need to be replaced but only apple can replace them and keep touch id working. It could also be related to the dock or main board that can also cause this issue.
