Hello everyone, Today I got my screen a bit dirty and decided to clean it with a little bit of 96% alcohol. After rubbing the alcohol with my bare hand in the screen the Home Button stopped clicking (but Touch ID kept working). I’ve checked online and nothing worked. Can anyone help me?
Never directly apply rubbing alcohol or any solution to your electronics. Always apply to a cloth or towel and then wipe down. Sounds like the alcohol seeped into the home button and caused a short, which may have caused permanent damage to the button. While they are replaceable, you will lose TouchID functionality.
