Suddenly the home button of my ipad mini is not clicking anymore, it kinda works but there is no movement; it seems like it’s stuck in the “pressed” position. Is anyone familiar with this issue?

It’s certainly possible that the actuator mechanism is “stuck”. Did this iPad come into contact with any water recently? You could try to put a tiny amount of >90% IPA on the Home Button. Let me stress “TINY” because if you put too much, the IPA could seep into the LCD and cause some damage there. If the actuator won’t come unstuck, the device will have to be opened and the switch replaced. The mini is not the easiest device to work on if this is your first time…
