Hi all, I replaced my home button (long) flex cable and now my touch ID is not working anymore. The home button, the click, is working fine. What could be the problem? The home button is still the original one. Thanks
Check both the long home button flex and the short flex on the button itself. Something is broken in that line. It could be a tiny tear in one of the corners or it could be the connectors with a damaged pin. You may need to use magnification as it doesn’t take much to cause problems. If the long flex is damaged, you can replace it. If the Home Button has a damaged flex, it “may” be repairable but generally it is not.
