Hi All Refurbishing an iPhone 5S, The fingerprint sensor is not working although the home button functions perfectly. It is missing the little gold clip that goes under the screw for the flex cable, does this impact the touch ID functionality? I believe it fell on my carpet during repair Thanks
No, I don’t think that black / gold grounding clip has any effect on the functionality of the phone. I could be wrong but I’ve never had issues without that on with phone repairs. Are you using the original home button for the iPhone 5s you are refurbishing? Because if the home button is replaced then the Touch ID will not work as it is matched with the home button to the logic board.
