Chosen Solution

I’ve got a H8E that boots when power button is pressed. Standby light will blink constantly once powered on. There doesn’t appear to be any pattern or specific number to the blinking, just blinking at same interval constantly. The “Hisense” logo shows up, then the “Hisense SmartTV” logo shows. Then after 30 or so seconds, screen goes black, though backlight appears to be on still. Tried leaving TV off and unplugged for a few days. Unfortunately I don’t have the remote, so no way to interact with it besides toggle on the bottom. Boards don’t look off at all, there doesn’t appear to be any burnt transistors on the power board.

Any ideas?

For anyone else with this issue, I got a remote and was able to rewrite the corrupted Firmware. Once I did that, the TV works perfectly . To do so, you’ll need to first contact support at Hisense and ask for the latest firmware. Then, with the REMOTE (you can’t just use the button on the TV), you hold the power button down until you see a blue screen with a progress bar. After the progress bar hangs at 1% for a bit, it’ll get through the progress bar, reboot a few times, then be good to go.

Hi @faosdoakfjasdklf OK it’s just that there isn’t much manufacturer’s online support information when searching for that model number. Since it is booting up OK and then nothing, it may be a firmware problem. I suggest that you contact Hisense technical support in your location, as there may be a firmware update (or reload) for it that may solve the problem. From what I’ve found out normally the TV updates online (if it is working of course as you have to go through the TV menus) but it may be that your model also can be updated manually via a USB flashdrive. As I said Hisense doesn’t offer much online download support. You have to contact them and ask if there is any firmware available for the TV model and if there is, from what I have read, apparently they will send it to you. The good thing about this if there is, is that it is easy to do. You load the firmware onto a USB, plug it in to the TV and then turn on the TV. After that it is automatic, but hopefully Hisense will also send instructions on how to do it in case the procedure is different with different model series. I don’t know if this is applicable for your model but you can only ask.
