Lcd connector on display board is burned on the right side; about 3 pins are damaged. On the Mobo this Capacitor(?) near connector looks weird…Could it damage a new screen when connecting the same way the old screen connector on display board is damaged?

No, looks like a ferrite bead. Let us know the board number (should be bottom left on logic board somewhere) and I can let you know the value. Don’t plug a new screen into the damaged LCD connector, this will burn the LCD cable. Replace the LCD connector and the ferrite bead, then try a new screen.
maikhuebeler @reecee is absolutely correct. The part you are referring to is reference designator L9000 which is a 220 Ohm Ferrite Bead in a 0805 package. Something like these should work for your board.
