Chosen Solution
So as the title says I have got a really interesting problem. I recently refurbished this MacBook Pro but it only charges with bottom case off! When bottom case is on LED on the MagSafe doesn’t shine but percentage of the laptop stays the same with the charging symbol on the screen! I’ve tryed reseting SMC both ways but it did nothing. Can anyone please help me!
If anyone else runs into a similar problem try unscrewing big screw closest to the charging port and then trying to charge the computer. While it’s being charged screw the screw again in its place and from then it should be charging normal again. At least that is what fixed my MacBook. Good luck to everyone else facing similar issues!
I would check your screws which hold the logic board I suspect you placed one in the wrong location! So the pressure is causing a short!
