I have the same stupid problem with my powerbook g4 late 2005, after replacing the hard disk, ALL the screws did get in their spots, accept for the 4 long ones on the back of the machine, and no i didn’t miss, the screws that won’t go in are the ones that came from these holes! I don’t know why this is a problem, i don’t even understand what is wrong with it, i can screw 1 of the 4 completely in, and this in the 4 holes . . . The other ones just go in a lil bit and then they get stuck and won’t go in all the way, and since these screws are structurale i really want to get this screws back in, but i don’t know how! PLEAS HELP ME OUT HERE!!!

Here is a guide that will walk you through which screws go where. I suspect you have put screws into the holes on the logic board in the wrong places and have blocked the long screws going in because you filled the holes already. I’ve done this myself when installing a logic board and not looking at the guide. PowerBook G4 Aluminum 15" 1.67 GHz Logic Board Replacement
