Hello! I recently started a project to fix an iPhone 3GS for a friend. I repaired it just fine, but then to boot it up and find that there is a passcode on it! Yaaaaay….. :( My friend does not know the passcode, and my iTunes is not synced with the device, so my only option was to use DFU mode, one problem though, when I try to enter DFU mode, the phone just straight up refuses! It will boot up, and stay at the apple logo for a couple of seconds after vibrating (beacuse it is plugged in to my PC). I cannot try to guess the password as the phone just says “Phone Disabled, Connect to iTunes”. If anyone knows how to fix this, please help. Thanks!
Turn your phone on. Press the power button to lock the screen. Press the home button to wake up the phone. Keep repeating this process over and over. If the screen reliably locks every time you press the button, then the power button is reliable. If it does not, your issue entering DFU is that your power button is not reliable enough to be held down during the procedure. If the screen reliably wakes every time you press the button, then the home button is reliable. If it does not, your issue entering DFU is that your home button is not reliable enough to be held down during the procedure. If either of your buttons is unreliable, you will need to fix that hardware problem first before attempting to get the phone into DFU.
Did you do iT excactly like this? Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode,. Sometimes you just have to try a few times.
My iphone 4 is disabled and i want to know how to fix it.
