Hi all, I’ve gotten my hands on a 2014 mac mini board number 820-5509A. It doesn’t power on at all and I think I’ve found the reason why. Two components are missing from the board. I would like to buy them and solder on the board. Problem is I can’t find schematics anywhere for the mac mini! I’ve attached a photo to indicate the components I need to identify. Appreciate the help! Thanks.
The upper capacitor (marked with a curved arrow) is a 1uF/25V (ceramic, 10%, 0402), and the other one is 2.2uF/16V (ceramic, 10%, 0402).
charles, there are no schematics for the Mac Mini available anywhere. you will need to take some measurements from either a donor board or have somebody somewhere check theirs for you.
