Hey everyone, Lurker for a bit, first time poster. My wife has an iPhone 6S MKT22L/a (Rose Gold 64 GB). About a month ago our baby girl decided to break mommies phone. I’ve done plenty of repair work so I figured what the heck and bought what I thought was the right display. This is what I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MR8… Notice there is only 2 ribbon cables When I broke down her phone, I noticed that the stock display had 3 ribbon cables. I installed it anyway and needless to say, it did not work so I went looking for another one. During my search, I found that nearly every single “iphone 6s replacement display” has only two ribbon cables - I’m still quite confused. Anyhow, I finally found one with three ribbon cables: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073JK… When it came in, I replaced it and all was working, until yesterday the screen began to flash. Looks like bad display. Anyhow, could someone shed some light on the 2 ribbon cable vs 3 ribbon cable displays? Why would the same model have different displays? Also, if you have any recommendations of the 3 ribbon variety I’m all ears. Thanks, Bill
3 cables: lcd, touch and home button. You can buy display in ifixit and follow the manual…
