Hello, My macbook : MacBook Air 2012 13" A1466 I’m looking for the english name of the Heat Sink screw “plinth” ? the 4 places around the Intel Platform Controller Hub where i can put the 4 torx screw in order to press the intel controller. Picture, with red circles : http://i.imgur.com/Q1YG1FS.png And where I could buy it ? There are two different :
- those around the intel controller
- the one on the left of the Core i5 (seems a little bigger) Thanks for your help :)

I think you’re asking about what the screw screws into. These are press-fit threaded stand-offs which are part of the logic board. If someone removed them it won’t be easy to locate replacements as well as fit them back in as the boards hole will have been worn and in fact the board could be damaged! The act of pulling them out might have de-laminated the board cutting the copper traces and via’s near the hole. It might be safer to just replace the logic board if that is the case.
