I bought reserved iPad on launch day. I guess when I used this first time for a week, its battery life was good. Now I found out my iPad battery drains so fast. Even when I dont use wifi and bluetooth and turn off iPad screen, battery reduces about some percentages. And I found there are some heat upper side and left side not on LCD screen, near screen even while not using it. The other parts are not warm at all even while screen on. Any suggestion? Or should I just bring it to apple genius?
Definitely, take it back. It’s a new product, and it should be performing perfectly. I know people at the Apple store and there have been a few returns like this, so you’re not the only one. I’ve had my iPad since the day it came out, and I’ve only had to charge it twice since then, and I’ve been using it all the time. Also, make sure you’re using the charger that came with it, and make sure to test charging while connected to the wall, rather than a computer. The iPad only charges when connected to USB 2.0 ports that meet certain specifications (I don’t remember what they are off the top of my head), and I’ve heard that connecting to non-compliant USB ports can cause problems, such as a drainage of power.
If it’s not performing up to specs, and I think the battery is listed at 10 hours, take it back and ask for a new one.
My Ipad turns off by it’s self. With 100% of battery. And I don’t know WAY!!!
