How do I fix a broken headphone jack?
You dont have to replace the whole logic board. Just buy the headphone jack itself. You will just have to solder just 4 points. However make sure that it is soldered just right and sit flushed. It’s a little easier that having to replace the whole logic board and cheaper. Hope this helps you.
The jack is part of the logic board, soldered to it with 4 contacts. Replacement is usually by replacing the entire logic board. I would do a physical inspection and make sure it’s not something that can be fixed (jammed contact inside of jack, or re-solderable contact) and if not, replace the logic board: iPod Touch 2nd Generation Logic Board Replacement
