Hi i have my HDMI stopped working when i connecting it to my LG smart TV ,, when i connect the TV recognize the signals from my MacBook but it say no single .. at the same time the MacBook doest see the TV any more …. it is a software issue or hardware issue and how to check and fix ? thanks

Rebooting my laptop fixed the connection issue. Rebooting seems to help with many issues.
flip the adpater plug around it will work its a simple mistake
My MacBook Pro 13” 2015 will not detect HDMI plugged directly into the HDMI port, but will detect the same cable if I use it with the thunderbolt adapter???
I solved this issue with my 2012 i7 mini by using a mini DV to HDMI adapter after the existing HDMI port stopped working. Now I have to figure out WHY it stopped working. But in the mean time.. the adapter to HDMI works perfectly.
