I took my computer to a reputable Apple repair store and they determined the hard drive was bad. It was having an issue where it would have a black screen and after multiple attempts of updating the OS it would only go up to 10.7. Now that I installed the new 2TB SSD hard drive and updated temp sensor cable I’m having a hard time getting the computer to install the OS from the disc that came with the computer.
First use Disk Utilities from the CD to format the new drive. Boot from the CD by holding down the C key on start up. Make sure your new SSD is backward compatible to SATA II 3 Gb/s.
