Have solid vertical line left center side of screen. Have been able to clear it at times
THOMAS TURNER a single solid line can be caused by a tab bond failure, bad panel or a bad T-con board (unlikely) and many more issues. First thing you want to do is to tell us what model your TV is. Then you want to take the back off your TV and check the boards for obvious damaged like leaking or domed capacitors. Check to make sure that all cables are properly seated. IF all that is okay, turn your TV on and apply some pressure on the ribbon cables that go into your LCD. Press on the tab that corresponds where the line is. Let us know if it changes that line. For further trouble shooting we’ll need to know more about what model this is.
